Overview

Lilylatch was founded durring the early 13th century in winter of the year 1244, by Séchvéch Mpf̄̄ń 'Izzy Cherish' Nīń̄ Yaw̋ch Ha̋nvé Meriweather Wentworth Dane. The establishment of Lilylatch was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Séchvéch Mpf̄̄ń 'Izzy Cherish' Nīń̄ Yaw̋ch Ha̋nvé Meriweather Wentworth Dane struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Lilylatch as a prison colony.

Lilylatch was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lilylatch is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Lilylatch is buildings folow an organic layout of premissive paverstone streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. Unfortuantly, these failry decent fortifications are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Lilylatch has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Lilylatch’s streets. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as relaxing. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Cultural Notes

Lilylatch has a long tradition of martial expertise. This may be a crisply-organized history of skilled native levies, or it may be a natural belligerence in the people that leaves them familiar with bloodshed. While their neighbors and liege doubtless respect their talents, this very aptitude might make them more willing to turn to steel than prudence would advise.

Lilylatch's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

In Lilylatch every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.

The Ghoul near Lilylatch are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Lilylatch's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves square dance to channel Invocation energies of tier 1 via singing.
